nadabrahma meditation
A variation of this third popular technique was originally done in old Tibet in the early hours of the morning. With this new updated variation, Nadabrahma can be done at any time of the day, alone, or with others. It is best to practice on an empty stomach, and remain inactive for at least 15 minutes afterwards. The meditation lasts an hour, and has three stages.

1st Stage: 30 minutes HUMMING
Sit in a relaxed position with eyes closed. With lips together, start humming, loud enough so that if you are practicing with others, you can be heard by them. The sound will create a vibration in your body. You can visualize your body as a hollow tube or vessel filled only with the vibrations of the humming. A point
will come when the humming continues by itself and you become the listener. There is no special breathing, and you can alter the pitch, and move your body smoothly and slowly, if you feel like it.

2nd Stage: 15 minutes HAND AND ENERGY MOVEMENT
This stage is divided into two 7.5 minutes segments.
a) Move the hands, palms upwards, in an outward, circular motion. Starting at the navel, move both hands forward and then move the arms in a circular motion outwards away from each other, dividing and opening the arms toward left and right. The movement should be so slow that at times there will appear to be no movement at all. Feel that you are giving energy outwards to the universe. Then slowly return the arms to the starting position and repeat the opening movement at the same slow pace. After seven and a half minutes, the music will change.
b) Turn your hands palms downwards and start moving them in the opposite direction. Now the hands will come together in a closing motion towards the navel and divide outwards towards the right and left sides of the body. Feel that you are drawing energy in. As in the first stage, don’t inhibit any soft, slow movements of the rest of your body. This meditation can be used for healing; releasing the old energy from the body and inviting the new from the cosmos, but you need to remember to remain a witness to your mind the whole time.

3rd Stage: 15 minutes SILENCE
Sit or lie down. Keep your eyes closed, and be still.

You can practice this meditation alone or in a group.
